Choosing veneer is an art unto itself. It requires careful selection with attention to patterns for bookmatching. Notice the exact alignment of the seam. It must be perfect to create a flawless bookmatch. Once the bookmatch is made, it is applied to the picnic table. The cross banding is next. Similar steps are followed for it. Finally the tables are color-matched to the existing wood in the car and finished with a clear gloss. The result here was superb! |
